We'd to say that FnC is different from other college ministries out there, and we feel that it is, but just saying it isn't enough. We believe we're different for a few important reasons. The one thing that sets FnC apart from all other ministries is the people who attend. Come and visit sometime and you'll see for yourself that we're not your normal campus ministry.

What makes you different?

We actively work to promote an atmosphere where anyone is welcome,
regardless of their worldviews or backgrounds.

We have a wide range of people who attend FnC, from atheists
to people raised in Christianity and from Wiccans to Taoists.

We value everyone's perspective and what they can bring to discussion.

We work to promote discussion within the group
on a variety of topics, feeling that it is together we learn best.

Through intellectual debate and dialgoue that takes all worldviews
into account, we hope to challenge ourselves and each other.

We promote Biblical orthodoxy, which is to say that we believe
there is a right belief and we try to teach the truth
in light of Jesus' sacrifice and the message of the Bible.

However, we recognize that we do not know everything
and there is room for discussion. We reserve the right to have the final word from the front,
but there will often be topics we do not have a complete conclusion
or answer to; that we cannot wrap up nice and neat at the end.

To assist in this, we will have a variety of different styles, music,
and worship events throughout the year to give us the opportunity to

      1) Find what we enjoy most and
      2) learn how to worship God even when we're not "feeling it."

We're OK with this;
it pushes us to grow more in our individual walks with God.

At FnC, we want to push people in worship to step outside
of their comfort zone and to draw nearer to God.

We think it's important to be able to worship even if you don't like
the music or particular style, and we want to learn better
how to engage God in all circumstances.

We believe that worship is more than just singing, and so we provide
opportunities for community outreach, be they service projects
that take our time or charities to which we commit our finances.

We feel that fellowship is paramount, and so provide environments
that encourage social interaction.

Small groups meet weekly and FnC regularly hosts social activities
at a variety of locales doing a variety of different things.

Social activities can range from sporting events (watching or participating)
to movie nights, small groups, bible studies, camping trips, weekend retreats,
Christmas caroling, or having dinner together.

The thing that sets FnC apart from all other ministries is the people who attend.
